Standard Terms and Conditions of Booking
1. Upon booking, the hirer is deemed to have read and accepted these standard terms and conditions of hire. 2. A booking is only deemed accepted upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit and confirmation in writing by Lymm Travel; unless otherwise agreed and confirmed by Lymm Travel. 3. Any balance of payment to be paid 5 working days prior to the date of travel unless otherwise agreed and confirmed in writing by Lymm Travel, failure to do so may invalidate booking. 4. Cancellation within 7 days of hire date results in 50% of the cost of hire to be paid (including deposit), Cancellations within 24 hours of hire date results in the full fee to be paid. 5. Prices are quoted on the information given by the Hirer, as mileage, waiting times, drivers' wages, fuel costs and Statutory Regulations affect the cost of Hire. Any information such as collection and drop-off points or times should not be witheld as it would reflect an inaccurate price. In the event of any departure from the booking agreement - the Hirer will be charged at our reasonable rates for any extra charges or losses and the hirer authorises charges directly to the hirers debit/credit card as supplied 6. Any requested changes to the routing, collection and drop-off points must be, at all times, confirmed with Lymm Travel Office (by the hirer); not to the driver of the vehicle. 7. We cannot be held responsible for failure to reach or leave destinations at a desired time due to bad weather conditions, traffic congestion, or any other matter which is beyond our control including mechanical failure or breakdown. 8. Vehicles are only to carry up to the stated amount of passengers and luggage which the Hirer has agreed with the Company. 9. Our vehicles are maintained to a high standard in accordance with statutory requirements, however, breakdown may occur, when every endeavour will be made to provide a vehicle of similar standard. Our liability (in case of breakdown or mechanical failure leading to losses or late arrival) is limited to the price paid to Lymm Travel for the hire 10. Some vehicles may be fitted with non-standard facilities eg toilets, tables, hot water boiler, radio, dvd player and screen etc. We will endeavour to provide these facilities where requested, however, due to operational reasons, these facilities may be withdrawn without notice. In this event no refund or reduction in hire charge will be made. 11. Lymm Travel reserve the right to provide alternative vehicle(s) to carry out the hire, other than those indicated. 12. Lymm Travel do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for the safety or custody of any personal items, belongings, purchases, luggage or any other items carried by any passenger or left on the vehicle. 13. Lymm Travel take pride in the cleanliness of all vehicles and fully expect passengers to respect this. However, if the vehicle is in need of extensive valeting a charge will be made accordingly after the Hire. No eating, drinking or smoking is permitted on the vehicle. 14. In the event of the vehicle becoming soiled (for example; as the result of spillages of food/drink or passengers/s vomiting etc) a charge will be made to the Hirer as per condition 5. (minimum £30 for car and £50 for minibus) to reflect costs and losses incurred. 15. All passengers must wear the seat belts provided in vehicles at all times whilst the vehicle is in motion. We do not accept any liability for injuries however caused whilst travelling on board the vehicle if you fail to wear the seat belt provided. Refusal to comply with the law may result in the booking being terminated, at any stage, without refund. 16. Any driver or servant of Lymm Travel can refuse to carry (or return to recarry) any passenger/party (or part thereof) whose behaviour can be considered unruly, improper, under the influence of alcohol/drugs or generally dangerous; this is for the safety of all passengers, staff and third parties. 17. The Hirer is to ensure that passengers adhere to collection and departure times. Failure to do so could lead to departure without passengers after the agreed departure time. Where the vehicle is available to wait, the hirer will incur waiting charges at the current company rate in accordance with condition 5. (£5 per 15 minutes or part thereof for car, £10 per 15 minutes or part thereof for minibus hire) 18. The Hirer is responsible for the conduct of passengers on the vehicle and for any losses or damage incurred as a result of such conduct. Further charges may be made to the hirer as per condition 5. Where the hirer breaches terms & conditions, no refunds will be issued 19.Unless agreed in writing, the vehicles used on the hire are not available for the Hirer's use other than as specified for the outward or return journeys. The vehicle(s) remaining at the drop off point/destination cannot be guaranteed. 20. The use of inboard audio / visual equipment is solely for the playing of material for which the hirer / user holds full copyright or authority for public use. 21. Airport Arrivals Policy - Once you have collected your baggage, please telephone office (01925 758985) or duty mobile (07914 505 659) to notify us of your arrival. Our Driver will then be dispatched from Lymm office. Please allow 30 mins for your driver to arrive. This policy has been implemented to ensure that our customers do not become responsible for costly waiting times which may be beyond the customers control. This policy will apply unless alternative arrangements have been made in writing confirmed by lymm travel. 22. In the case where transportation services are hired in from other transport providers Lymm Travel will not be liable to the transport provider for the conduct of passengers nor liable to the passenger for the conduct of the transportation firm hired in. 23. In any event the maximum liability of Lymm Travel is the charge of the initial invoice charged for transportation services. 24.No drivers, servants or agents of Lymm Travel are empowered to alter, amend or cancel any of these conditions.
